Tiszaliget (Tisza Grove)
Tiszaliget is one of the main centres of the town’s sports life; the facilities located there are hosting events all year round for a very wide range of sports activities whose number is constantly increasing even today.
The Town Sports Hall is also located in the Tiszaliget which serves as the base of the seceral-times champion ’Olaj’ Basketball Team. The sports hall accommodates a number of prestigious sporting events and, besides sports, other outstanding events in the town’s life all year round.
The grass football pitch lies next to the central building of Szolnok Sportcentrum Nonprofit Kft. (the main building of the football stadium). The team of Szolnok MÁV FC have their trainings and play their home games here.
Right next to the Tiszaliget Stadium a footballing centre was built with artificial turf together with a Squash Club within the framework of the ’Szolnok is being built’ programme, which – together with the nearby tennis centre – increase the number of sports available in the Tiszaliget.
