Tisza Hotel & Thermal Spa***
The oldest hotel in town, Hotel Tisza is found on the bank of the Tisza River in a picturesque Neo-Baroque building surrounded by the town’s most beautiful park. The building was completed in 1928, on the designs of architect Ármin Hegedűs. During the construction, an exploratory drilling resulted in 55.6 °C thermal water with hydrogene-carbonate and iodine content, which was classified as possessing curative powers. The thermal water is utilized in two ways: it supplies water to the hotel and its restaurants and to the popular thermal bath situated in the same complex.
